Make your own MP3s
To make your MP3s you’ll need
- A computer (I’m assuming you have one of those?) that you’re allowed to download software onto.
- An internet connection
- A Microphone to plug into your computer if you want to record your own voice – If not you’re welcome to download and use my dulcet tones
- A printout of the C25k program – get it here
Here are the steps you’ll need to take to be off and running!
(Click on each header for more details)
1. Download Audacity and the LAME encoder
2. Get to know the Audacity program
3. Record a set of voice prompts (You can skip this step if you are downloading your Voice track)
4. Create your Voice Track (Don’t like the sound of your own voice? Can’t be bothered? Use mine!)
6. Mix your voice file and soundtrack into a single MP3 and export
So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and run!!
A Note about Music Copyright: If you buy a CD or a song, you have the right to use the music on it for your PERSONAL Use only. If you use that music to create your C25k MP3, that is fine, but you must not distribute the MP3 afterwards. So don’t make your personal MP3s available on the interwebs – unless you have been to a lot of trouble to make sure the songs you use are copyright free – OK?

Thank you SO much for this! It’s SUPER simple to follow, I’m SO excited, I’ve already created my week one!
Thank you for creating this…i wonder would it be essentially the same premise if you want to do the Bridge to 10K program after the C25K.
Hi Cynthia, yes, it would be exactly the same for any program you want to do,as long as you are making your own voice prompts
